Marcus A. Ward (Alex)
Instructor
Alex Ward is a helicopter maintenance instructor for Sikorsky Training Academy. He joined the Academy in 2020 after serving in the United States Coast Guard as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
In his role with Sikorsky Training Academy, Alex is responsible for the development and execution of training courses for all commercial, international, and military customers. These courses include maintenance, avionics, troubleshooting, air crew courses, and night system courses.
Alex has over 17 years of military experience. During his career in the United States Coast Guard, He served as a MH-60J/T ground mechanic, aircrewman, flight mechanic, instructor, maintenance supervisor, quality assurance inspector, and Non-Destructive inspector.
During Alex’s honorable service in the United States Coast Guard, he received operational training on rotary wing aircraft, as well as maintenance training for both inflight and ground testing procedures. Alex also holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, and has accumulated over 1,500 mishap-free flight hours in H-60J/T/W and S70i platforms.
