New Feature from Logistics Service Provider
Lockheed Martin will begin using a new feature from a major logistics service provider that allows shippers to enter electronic transportation requests (eTRs) against LMP2P purchase orders (POs). The new functionality was introduced on Feb. 23 by Allyn International, which is the approved logistics service provider for Missiles and Fire Control, Rotary and Mission Systems (including Sikorsky) and Space business areas.
Existing users will be aligned to vendor codes referenced on the face of their POs and may ship against those POs. With this change, material suppliers whose POs provision into Allyn Logistics Application (ALA) will no longer be able to manually ship outside of the Allyn application. Many of our suppliers already have accounts created to initiate eTRs within ALA. For those needing ALA access, requests can be made using the website or by emailing LMlogistics@allynintl.com with your point of contact information.
Implementing this change will allow Lockheed Martin to gain greater insight into suppliers’ compliance with PO need dates. This further supports suppliers’ contributions to digital transformation and drives additional savings, while ensuring business needs are being met.
We plan to carefully monitor compliance with this requirement and will update our published Routing Guides to reflect this new process.
